Oat Powerballs

Updated: Sep 24, 2019

Delicious powerballs that are good as they are or frozen as a nice, cool treat for a hot day.

Flax Meal is high in Omega 3, help lower cholesterol, as well as blood pressure, and balances blood sugar.
Hemp Heart is an anti-inflammatory seed that helps improve digestion and is high in magnesium, essential amino acids, protein, and as well in Omega 3.

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 C. Quick Oats

  • 1/2 C. Coconut Flour (or Almond Flour)

  • 1/2 C. Shredded Coconut (unsweetened)

  • 1/2 C. Dried Cranberries or Raisins

  • 1/2 C. Carob Chips

  • 1/4 C. Ground Flax Meal

  • 1/4 C. Pumpkin Seeds

  • 2 TBS. Hemp Hearts and/or Chia Seeds

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2 C. Maple Syrup

  • 1 C. Peanut Butter or Almond Butter or 1/2 C. of each

  • 1/4 C. Almond Milk or favorite plant-based milk

  • 2 TBS. Vanilla

  • 1 tsp. Ceylone Cinnamon Powder (optional - this cinnamon is easier on the digestive system, and has been known to help balance out blood sugars)

  • 1/4 tsp. Salt

  1. Combine all dry ingredients in one bowl.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix wet ingredients until fully combined.

  3. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and roll into 1" balls.

Makes about 36 powerballs. We like to store these in a container in the freezer and bring them out in hot summer days for a nice, cool treat.
